Well, it seems like Steve and I managed to answer everyone's questions in our conversation. So I'll say thanks once again to Steve Grobman, CTO of McAfee, for being such a wonderful guest here on Voice of Security Radio!

Keeper

Thanks for helping out, Daren!

Keeper

(On behalf of Steve Grobman) - Data science and computer science expertise is definately in high demand by the cyber security technology industry as well as many other industries that are using similar capabilities

Keeper

(On behalf of Steve Grobman) - There is not a formal certificatio process..  most users don't need to understand the nuance of the technology which is generally built by technology product providers

Keeper

And how are mainline security pros/machine learning pros certified, i.e. how do you lknow that the person you're hiring to help you knows what they're dcoing?

Keeper

Steve, one question we didn't get to is that of skilled practitioners. I know that mainline security pros are in short supply and high demand: Is it even worse when it comes to machine learning pros in the security space?

Keeper

Since I was late - and again - really sorry, I don't even know what to ask. Feel free to ask a question or my behalf.

Keeper

Well folks, now's the time to ask any questions we didn't get to in the audio interview. Steve will be here in just a moment -- what would you like to know?

Keeper

Just added him to my Twtter feed!

Keeper

It's not the cheeriest phrase to come along.

Keeper

OK "victim conversion rate" is not comrforting....

Keeper

It's good to see you here! Thanks for joining us.

Keeper

So sorry I'm late! (I couldn't think of a graceful way to say "Could you hurry this meetin up? I have some palce better to be."

Keeper

The show has started -- if you aren't hearing audio, try refreshing your browser window!

Keeper

Just over 10 minutes to go before the show starts -- let us know if you have any questions about machine learning and security! This will be a great opportunity to get an answer from one of the true experts in the field.

Keeper

We'd love to have your voice in the discussion here. To take part, just type your comment into the "Your Post" box and then click on the "Post" button below the box. Feel free to introduce yourself before the show starts -- I think you'll find that we're a very friendly community here!

Keeper

Hey, everyone, we're glad you could join us! When the show is scheduled to start, an audio player should appear above the "Your Post" window. If it doesn't appear, you might need to refresh your browser until it does. If it appears but doesn't start playing, then you may need to click on the "play" button on the far left of the player.

Keeper

Hello to all - hope to attend should be interesting show and chat after
