True. But it looks like everyone is working on alternative chip designs. Microsoft and Qualcomm are reportedly even working on their own EDGE chip that may avoid the vulnerabilities of speculative processing. It will still take years for these designs to roll out and become mainstream, but we should still see more diversity in hardware in the near future. That might not be good news for Intel, but it'll be better for security.
