Dan Reis has been working for high-tech Silicon Valley companies for over twenty-five years, with twenty in security product marketing and management. Mr. Reis started in security with Nokia Internet Solutions, and over seven years helped define and deliver a family of innovative security appliances. Next, at SurfControl he drove new web filtering and anti-spam solutions. His background in network, endpoint, cloud, threat intelligence and virtualization give him a broad and thorough understanding of security ecosystems. He ran product marketing for Trend Micro, Dir. PM for BT’s MSSP service offering, and an endpoint protection incident response solution at FireEye. Mr. Reis has a Master’s of Science in Information Systems Security from the University of San Francisco, an MBA and a BA in Economics. He has multiple publications including a Dummies book, “Cloud and Virtualization Security” for Trend Micro, and a business oriented cyber security book that’s available on Amazon. He has been a company, industry and product evangelist, presenting at hundreds of industry events, forums, and customer venues as well as giving hundreds of webinars on a wide array of security issues and solutions. Mr. Reis is focused on enabling organizations to better understand the issues of security today and its trends to facilitate more informed decisions. He strongly believes that organizations need to optimize their protection by adopting flexible security postures against an ever-changing spectrum of ongoing threats.
